Your privacy matters. This policy explains in plain language what data we collect, why we collect it, and how it is protected. We do not sell your data. We do not store your CV, job description, or audio recordings on our servers.
1. Who We Are
LiveInterviewHelp ("we", "us", "our") operates the website liveinterviewhelp.com and the LiveInterviewHelp Chrome browser extension. For questions about this policy, contact us at support@liveinterviewhelp.com.
2. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed password. We do not store passwords in plain text.
Payment Information
Payments are processed by Razorpay. We do not store card numbers or bank details. We retain only a transaction record (plan purchased, amount, date) for billing and support purposes.
Extension Usage Data
When you use the extension during an interview, the following occurs:
- Audio: Tab audio and microphone audio are transcribed in real time via Deepgram's API. Audio streams are not recorded or stored. Only the resulting text transcript is transmitted.
- Transcripts: Text transcripts are sent to the Claude AI API (Anthropic) to generate answer hints. They are not stored on our servers after the response is returned.
- CV and Job Description: These are stored locally on your device in your browser's extension storage. They are transmitted to the AI API at the moment a question is answered and are not persisted on our servers.
Session Metadata
For each interview session we store the following on our servers:
- Session start and end timestamps
- Session duration (in milliseconds)
- The target role you entered (e.g. "Product Manager") — if provided
- Number of AI hints generated during the session
- Whether the session was a free trial or paid session
This data is used for billing, fraud prevention, and is displayed back to you in your account dashboard as your session history. We do not store the actual questions asked, the AI answers generated, or any conversation content.
Account Dashboard
When you are signed in to liveinterviewhelp.com, your account dashboard displays your plan status, remaining credits, and a history of your past sessions derived from the session metadata above. This data is served directly from your account and is visible only to you.
Analytics and Feedback
If you submit optional feedback (rating or comment) after a session, we store that feedback linked to your account to improve the product.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, operate, and improve the service
- To manage your account and session credits
- To process payments and prevent fraud
- To respond to support requests
- To send transactional emails (account confirmation, payment receipts)
We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party processors. Each has its own privacy policy:
- Supabase — Authentication and database (servers in EU/US)
- Anthropic (Claude API) — AI answer generation
- Deepgram — Real-time audio transcription
- Razorpay — Payment processing
- Render — Backend server hosting
- Netlify — Website hosting
5. Data Retention
- Account data (email, credits, plan status) is retained for as long as your account is active.
- Session history records (timestamps, role, hint count, duration) are retained for as long as your account is active and are displayed in your account dashboard.
- Transaction records are retained for 7 years for tax and legal compliance.
- CV, JD, and audio data are not retained on our servers beyond the moment of processing.
- Conversation content (questions and AI answers) is never stored.
- You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing us.
6. Security
We use industry-standard security practices including HTTPS encryption in transit, hashed password storage, and JWT-based authentication with short-lived access tokens. No security system is 100% infallible. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of data transmitted over the internet.
7. Children's Privacy
This service is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and data
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Data portability

9. Cookies
Our website uses localStorage to store your authentication token for the purpose of keeping you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
